Post the Sidhe

I have been looking into the Sidhe, the Tuatha de Dana'an of Ireland, and I was wondering if any of you know of a tie with any of the LOTR beings ?
I do believe that many of us have Sidhe blood, that's what brings us here...and I do believe it overlaps with many of the LOTR beings....but do any of you know specifics ?
Thank you !

If you mean specifically 'did Tolkien use them as a source', then yes there is evidence to suggest he drew upon some of the mediaeval Irish tales (particularly The Cottage of Lost Play), and I believe they are mentioned in his notes in The Lost Tales.

Clearly one can draw some sort of parallel (whether intended or subconscious) between the retreat of the Tuatha Dé Danann into the sidhe (mounds, living underground) and Thingol of Doriath and Thranduil of Mirkwood, both of whom live in underground dwellings (I'm not going into issues of the latter being based on the former here).
