Post Word list

So, I have the basics of my lang worked out. I know the sounds, and the phonotactics. I know how words are assembled and I even have a nice list of words from an online word generator.

My only problem really left is figuring out what words I should translate. Anyone have any suggestions?

If you mean what would be good / essential core vocabulary words in an artlang/conlang, then here's a start (irrespective of how much grammar/inflections one will ultimately build). "=" means which other English words one foreign word can often represent as well.

above = over
after
air
all
and
to be
to be able = to can
because = since
because of = due to
before = prior to / in front of
to carry = to bear
to choose = to select
to come
to continue
to cross = to pass over = to exceed
day
danger = risk
death
to die
to do = to make
don't
door = gate[way]
to drink
to eat
to fall
female
to find
fire
to fly
food
for #1 = having as destination
for #2 = in exchange for
forest
from = away from = [out] of
to get = to obtain = to receive
to give
to go
to hear
here
how?
if
in = at
to know
land = country, earth
less
life
like, as (preposition)
to like
limb
to live
to look [at]
to look for = to search for = to seek
to look like = to seem
male
more
much = a lot
mountain
name
to name [as] = to call [sth sth]
to need
night
not, no
now
or
to own = to possess
part = piece = portion
purpose = objective (goal)
to put
to raise = to lift [up]
to rise = to get/go up
sea
to see = to view = to behold
sky = heaven
some #1 = certain
some #2 = slightly, a bit
a sound = a noise = a voice
to sound [like]
to speak = to talk
star
to stop ('stand still' vs. 'make stop' - one word or two)
to take #1 = to take possession of
to take #2 = to transport, to carry off; to lead
than (in natural languages, same word as some relational particle ["as", "against/opposite", "from", etc.])
to thank
a thank-you = ~!
that #1 (demonstrative pronoun)
that #2 (conjunction, clause connector)
there
thing
to think [about]
this
to = into, unto
today
tomorrow
to touch
tree
under = beneath = below
to understand = to comprehend
to use = to employ
to want = to desire
water
way = road
what
when
where
which = that (relative pronoun)
who
with (comitative and instrumental ideas conveyed by same word or not)
without (sans, lacking)
to write = to inscribe
yesterday

The main personal pronouns, adjectives relevant in one's world (among them at least a few colors) and some crucial numbers will probably come in handy as well.

Alright, I think just one more question for now(hopefully, anyway).

How do I devise a syntax? Like, I don't want it to just be English, with a whole bunch of funny sounding words. How do I set up the way that I put words together?

I myself would do it by following (at least up to a point) the model and traits of 1-3 already existing languages that either inspire me most (in regards to words and forms), or whose combined likeness would for some reason "fit" the fictional world or culture best in my opinion. This approach would obviously mean one needed to "sample" a bunch of languages (via YouTube, "Languages of the World" type books, Wikipedia, etc.) and then learn more about the grammar (word-combining methods) and possibly etymologies (word-history) of those languages that one would go for.
