on: January 03, 2015 11:00
Hello my Mellons

My name is Fuad, i've searched about it here i found out this :

Arabic
Means “heart” in Arabic. Sindarin: (heart {counsel}= gûr; heart {physical}= hûn; heart {inner thought, meaning}) Gûr, Hûn, Ind; m Gúron, Húron, Indion

I wish to ask you which one is the correct one : Gúron , Húron or Indion ? i dont get the difference honestly .. And can anyone write them please to me? I don't know how to write ..

Thanks a lot

It depends which meaning of 'heart' you want, they're all technically correct.

Gûr = heart (in the moral sense) - there is a famous Sindarin phrase that uses this - Guren bêd enni = My heart speaks to/for me.
Hûn = the physical heart in your chest
Ind = this doesn't mean 'heart' in the same way as the other two, it means 'inner thought, meaning'.

By write them for you, I presume you mean in Tengwar ('Elvish lettering')? I can't do that for you, but there are several automatic transcribers on the Internet that could, or you could ask Isildilme at this thread here http://forums.theonering.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=104703&start=2340

Are you after a translation into Sindarin or the Elvish lettering (Tengwar)?

If you're after a translation, the name Noah itself means 'rest, repose', which is translated directly by the word îdh in Sindarin, giving you the options of:

îdhon = Male of rest
îdhdîr = Man of rest
îdhben = Person of rest
îdhion = Son of one who rests
