Post Traslations for tattoos?
on: February 18, 2015 09:59
Hey Guys, I'm new to this but I love elvish and I am getting a couple of tattoos for my birthday in March and I was wondering if it would be possible to get some help translating two of Arwen's quotes from English to Elvish?

"I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone"

and "My heart is mine to give"

Any help would really be appreciated

Thank you xx

I suppose you mean Sindarin by Elvish? Or do you just want Elvish letters (the Tengwar), then no translation is needed as they can be used to write English?

Your first sentence translated into Sindarin can be found here:

Sindarin is the daily language of the Elves in Middle-Earth. I'm no Sindarin specialist so you could always ask your question in the Sindarin forum.

The other Elvish language Quenya is the language of the elves in Valinor and also the learned language in Middle Earth. If you want a translation into Quenya then the Quenya forum is the right place.

PS: Quite a lot of members are girls so 'guys' is not entirely appropriate.
