Dozens. Even a couple at the cinema (Casablanca with Bogart and Ingrid Bergman comes to mind).

TNP does at least some of their Internet surfing on a tablet.

A very faint bit of a tan on my arms, what polo shirts leave exposed to the sun.

TNP prefers wine to beer.

Dinner and restaurant would be vastly exaggerated - but I did have something to eat at a beer-garden in which I met seven other people from my earliest "company class" - in fact on the exact date of my last post.

TNP regularly uses a ferry for transportation.

No, I only take the ferry occasionally.

TNP is still in touch with friends from school or university.

Nope. From 6th grade to second year of college (university), everything took place in the US. Since last leaving the US in 1976 (and for some groups earlier), zero contact.

TNP still meets with people from their past (not meaning family) occasionally.

These days, I tend to talk to people from my past via online messaging, or chance meetings in the hospital or on the bus.

TNP lives near their childhood home (or one of them).

Not nearly. My childhood home was the Indian subcontinent, to young adulthood the east coast of the US. I now live in (have so for 44 years) central Europe.

TNP has moved to a different continent from the one they were born in.

Nope. Although I did live in New Zealand at one time, it's not a continent.

TNP has been to Africa.

Very superficially. In 1963 my parents and I (I was seven then) had an overnight stay in Cairo at the house of a friend of my father’s, who was there for his company, while the cruise ship taking us from Bombay to Genoa travelled through the Suez Canal, and two day trips while on vacations in Southern Spain, one to Tétouan, the other to Tangier, both in northern Morocco.

TNP has been south of the equator.

Venezuela, twice: 1977 and 1978. I can't believe how that's gone downhill.

TNP has been north of the Arctic Circle.

Not properly. I was in Dubai a total of six times on business trips, last time in the year 2000, but that is more desert-ish (Abu Dhabi has a small chunk of the big Arabian desert that mostly lies in Saudi Arabia), and we stayed on the paved roads.
The Canary Island of Fuerteventura, where we were on vacation in 2011, has patches that are shrub and / or dune desert, but again we stayed on the paved roads, so no four-wheel-drive excursions into the sand dunes.

TNP has experienced temperatures below zero degrees Fahrenheit, so below minus 17.8 degrees Celsius (Centigrade).

Six times Mallorca, three times Crete, near Barcelona, near Marbella, and in Nice in France - I guess that means yes.

TNP has vacationed in the Great Lakes region (US / Canada).

I have seen both a bull moose and a grizzly bear, both of which would be deemed large.

TNP has seen an aquarium with salt-water fish in it.

Yes, there's one in a local shopping centre - several of the fish species could be recognised from Finding Nemo.

TNP lives near the setting for a major movie.

Not a major movie, but some TV series is being filmed locally, although I have no clue what it's called.

If you mean "high" mountains ("Hochgebirge" ) which continue in altitude above the (local) tree line, that's pretty much limited to the Alps in Germany. At about 220 kilometers or about 135 miles as the crow flies (and quite a bit more by surface), that does not qualify as near anymore in Germany.

TNP lives near a (major) river.

I don't know whether it classes as a 'major' river, but the River Mersey runs about 50m in front of my house in Warrington. The start of the Mersey starts in Stockport, then flows westwards through Manchester, then through at least 8 different towns and cities and empties into Liverpool Bay. In total the river flows 70.33 miles (113 km). So maybe it is?

TNP has a favourite hobby.

Well, it gave rise to the music style "Merseybeat", the last syllable of which became part of the name of four youg musicians from Liverpool; and Paul actually composed a song about it, even mentioning it in the title. Few rivers have that claim to fame!

Since quite a while it would be browsing around JRRT sites. By now kept alive mainly by "The Tolkien Forum".

TNP has a hobby that would be considered artistic (music, painting, ...)

Nope. I just eat the usual, although I do get a full turkey dinner at my neighbour's on Christmas day.

TNP really doesn't care very much for turkey.

On the contrary, what we get here where we live in the turkey direction is quite tasty. It’s just more along the “Schnitzel” variant usually satisfied by veal (which would be the true “Wiener Schnitzel”, anything else by law only being allowed to call itself “Wiener type”), or mostly pork (for beef, things tend towards what even Americans would call steak). But those Thanksgiving Brontosaurs common in the US are rather rare…

TNP has decided that it is time for a diet after the Christmas eating excesses.

I'm always watching what I eat so I don't gain the weight back that I lost, but it's not specifically related to Christmas.

TNP has been skiing this winter.

Unfortunately I will not, because I have pet rabbits and they will just eat them all. That, and I don't have a green thumb in the slightest! I manage to keep my cactus and succulents alive, though

TNP will have a coffee or tea with their breakfast.

I sometimes have tea, especially on weekends.

TNP has had an unexpected visitor knock on their door.
