I am not having any luck putting this in the Links section but thought it too important to pass by. It is curious that Carl Jung was creating his own Red Book as Tolkien was developing his mythology.

Not for the faint-hearted, this lecture delves deep into the world of the unconscious and the curious connections between Jung's world and Tolkien's. The motifs discovered there are not confined to their work only but are universal, across place, culture and time.
