Yeah, thought about learning both of them but with which one should I start? And, if I want to study both, wouldn't it be to confusing??

Well, since I am not studying Sindarin, I would say: go for Quenya. But I guess it is better to make up your mind about the "starting"language first. And I am sure, there is a study buddy waiting for you somewhere.

Hello!
I'm looking for someone who'd like to study Quenya with me(Obviously, since I'm posting in this thread...).
I'm a new beginner, but I can handle the pronunciation, so, you can say that I'm on lesson two.
It'd actually be nice if you were a little ahead of me
Well...let me know, OK?

Oh, I forgot to mention: My first language is Swedish, although, I don't mind if you're not from Sweden!

hello! I've only been on this site for a few days now, and it's great!
like everybody else in this thread, I'm looking for a quenya study-budy.

·my native language is english
·I've studied a number of other languages and I have a good grasp of gramatical terms and concepts. [ i love grammer. it makes up for how terrible my spelling is.]
·I've been studying the Quenya Course from Ardalambion, which I'm digesting slowly, but I've only just started the workbooks. This makes me a beginner.
·I'm willing to study with any level person. (easy to say when you're a beginner!)

I'd love to have a study buddy, I had started studying Quenya before I realized that there was such a thing as a "study buddy"...which would really come in hand right about now. Preferably, I'd like them to be on the same level as me or advanced.

Oh, boy, I think I could seriously use one as well. Just finished up lesson 5, though it's yet to be fully "graded" and I've become rather confused... Would prefer someone that's ahead of me, but I'm also willing to help someone that's a bit behind me, to sort of share the wealth as it were.

Well I know I've been given someone to help already, but my services haven't been in need as of late. So, I offer again, if anyone needs help, I'm more than willing.
I'm currently on lesson 9, going back and forth between the Quenya workbook on CoE and the workbook in Ardalambion. Feel free to notify me if chance arises.

I've been learning Quenya for a few weeks now and I've looked at this thread but have never actually understood how you learn together. What do study buddies actually do?

It is exactly what the words say: a study buddy to study Quenya together with one or more others. Your buddy can be at the same level, at a higher level or a lower level.

If you want one, post your request here, with your native language too (if it is not English, not necessary, but it might be helpful or easier when you can discuss Quenya with somebody in your own language), your level (lesson) and your timezone. Mal will couple you up with somebody.

Hannah, I replied to you by PM, but in case anybody else wonders, I'll repeat here that as far as I know, the buddies only meet online. But if some buddies happen to live in the same town, it would of course be great to meet for real!

I see I've just missed the pairings, but oh well. I've been on the forum for a while, but I decided that I really need a study buddy to help me remember to study (I tend to forget and then get really mad at myself for falling behind :banghead: ).
