About Arwen being Half-Elven by I_love_Aragorn_
Wouldn’t she actually be 3/4 Elven, and 1/4 mortal, because her father was half-elven, but her mother was a full Elf, wasn’t she?

Yes, but Elrond chose to be 100% Elven at one point – when Elros chose to be 100% human to be more precise.
That is the choice that Arwen and her brothers also have to make, and it’s the only reason why Arwen can give up her immortality – because she was always able to do so.
Elrond is in fact 3/8 Man, 9/16 Elf and 1/16 Maia, making Arwen 3/16 Man, 25/32 Elf and 1/32 Maia. Figwit is correct – she had always had the choice, whether she had met Aragorn or not.
