Mix softened butter and strawberry spread in small bowl. Pour into flour mixture and mix with a fork until ganules form.
Add sugar, and stir well. Add milk and vanilla, stir until dough forms.
Press into bottom of well greased cake pan or cassarole dish. (Shaped pans may be used to add a festive touch.)

While cake is baking, prepare frosting. Over medium heat, mix vanilla and milk until hot. Melt marshmallows in mixture two at a time. Add strawberry spread. Stir until mixture turns a light pink. For a darker pink, add food coloring 1 drop at a time until desired color is reached. Turn heat to low, stiring every few minutes until cake is done. Imediately pour froth over hot cake. Spread evenly. Frosting will become gooey as it cools.

The cake sounds really good though got stuck in the middle of it when it called for Suger yet there wasn’t a told amount of suger to put in X.x
Hehe Made the Cake! It was great the whole family loves it. I had to guess at the amount of suger so I put 1/3 cup of suger and that turned out great. Dunno if I guessed right or not. Still great recipe!
Sorry this probably sounds stupid, but what exactly is strawberry spread? I made the cake with cinnamon spread instead and it was awesome but i’d like to make it with the strawberry spread, and i dont know what that is….
Sounds great! Strawberry spread-my guess is it’s- strwbry jelly or jam…whatever you wanna call it. That’s what I’m gonna use. Hope it turns out! 😀

OMG I’m SOOOO sry! lol
1/3 cup sugar was right.
Sorry again!
Is strawberry spread like the stuff you put on bagels? Like a strawberry flavored bagel spread stuff?
Wow, sounds great! Can’t wait to try it!
Um… does the cake rise a lot with one tablespoon of baking powder?
It will rise to about the thickness of your run-of-the-mill brownie =)
I made the cake for my Birthday, it was FANTABULOUS!!! One small bite (piece) truly does fill a grown man (sixteen year old girl!), brilliant. It was tasty, and you’re right it didn’t rise as much as i had feared. The cake had a sort of scone consistency (excuse the spelling!) I made it in a ring tin and stuffed the middle with pink flowers, it was a VERY pink cake!!! I used strawberry JAM, if that’s any use to anybody. And do try the cake, it is Divine!
Argh!!! Sorry about the double review!!!
