Serves: 1 dozen hungry Dwarves, or two hobbits.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients
2 cups self-rising flour1 cup plus two tablespoons liquid whipping cream
Instructions
Preheat hearth (oven) to 450 degrees F.Mix ingredients with fork until dough is moist. (It may be easier to simply knead dough while it's still in the bowl...that's how I usually do it.)
Roll dough out to about 1/2" thickness and cut with a 2" biscuit cutter.
Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet or a baking stone and bake for 10-12 minutes. Brush tops with melted butter if you like.
These also make a terrific quickie breakfast when spread with honey and/or jam!
