Rûkh (Sava-Tennoio)
Rûkh’s full name is Azrarûkh. He dwelt with his parents in a small seaside home. His father made a living as a fisherman and was killed at sea when Rûkh was only five.
His mother continued to raise him and his brother in whatever way she could–living off the land and the sea. Fishing for each meal, or hunting deer from the nearby forest.
The winter of his fifteenth year was bitter and hard on Rûkh and his family. They grew ill and both his mother and brother perished, while Rûkh, built stronger than his thin mother and brother, lived.
At age 24, Rûkh married Nithil, a woman of Anfalas. A years later, Nithil was with child. The birth was rough–Nithil was a small, tiny woman with not much strength. The child, a baby girl, perished within hours of birth, the mother the next morning.
Rûkh was devestated.
He continued to live on his own, thriving near the sea. Once or twice he strayed in land to cities, but found them distasteful. More recently, though Rûkh loves the sea, he has felt the longing for something more and so has begun to wander farther north–leaving the embrace of the sea, the only thing he’s ever known.
