I love these 2 lol http://www.comingsoon.net/gallery/40304/hr_The_Hobbit%3A_An_Unexpected_Journey_37.jpg and
I did make a comment about Elrond a while ago about his makeup as the image is not new. I must say he is more elflike here than in The Lord Of The Rings and the viewer can see a lot more of the interior design and layout of the house of Elrond look forward to seeing this scene more graphically coloured. The headwear is perfect.
I love the image of Thranduil, the silver head piece could have being more in keeping with the book garlanded shaped rather than spiked.
ooohh and those gobins are scary just like one or two of those dwarven images.
Those wargs don’t look bad – they’re actually pretty creepy, a bit like the Hound of the Baskervilles. I like them way more than the LotR wargs. Just the flappy folds around their heads seem kind of redundant and cheapish to me. Would that those were long hairs instead of this batwing-ish stuff.
The Great Goblin, on the other hand… I preferred the LotR goblins. This one’s (whichever of the three that is) just *too* monstrous to be believeable or scary for me. Looks more like a giant insect to me than a descendant of corrupted Elves.
Elrond’s cool! I liked Hugo Weaving’s acting in LotR, so I’m looking forward to seeing him back in his role. I wish that Ngila Dickson was still in charge of costumes, though; I miss the flowiness and looseness of the LotR elf costumes, these seem kind of too tight.
I sincerely hope that is NOT what the Great Goblin looks like lol!
I personally think that Thranduil looks like a girl, which is stupid.
There is an animated version of The Hobbit from 1977. The head piece of Thranduil is very close to the one in that movie.
