Post Riddles!

Hello all!
After shooting riddles back and forth with a few friends the past couple weeks, I noticed there weren't any riddle sharing threads in the forum. This must be remedied!
So here it is - the Riddle Game!
Rules:
- Post an original riddle! It can be in the form of a poem or not. It doesn't have to be Tolkien related (I'm personally terribly at them), but it'd be awesome if it was!
- Try and solve someone else's riddle! Take as many shots as you want, but try to keep all your guesses in one post so things don't get too cluttered.
- Remember to keep things PG! So no expletives or adult language, content, or subjects.
- Be creative!
- There's no point system, so there's no need to spam the thread with riddles and answers in the name of competition. Just have fun! 8O

Here's an easy one to start:

1. Under moon I am king
Under sun to you I kneel
I am cast by stretched wing
And ever at your heel

I took a guess but do not know if I should post a riddle until I know if my answer is correct but I will anyway.

This could be an awesome game. I numbered each riddle so that when somebody answers it, we know which riddle they are answering. I would appreciate it if you would continue to number the riddles when you post them. Also, please try to check the thread regularly and, once your has been answered, please edit your post to show the answer. Thanks!

Can we just post the number we are answering instead of editing?

[I don't have a problem with that maxie as long as people can keep track things. If it gets confusing as to what is, or isn't answered, we can always go back to editing the original post.]

If anyone had happened to look out of a window on the east side of the palace, they might have noticed two figures in the darkness, dancing in a square bordered by living plants, out of time with the dancers inside but perfectly in time with each other.

Since this thread has become so muddled I'm going to lock this one and restart it with one modification in the rules. You must solve the posted riddle before the next riddle can be posted (hopefully by the solver).
