Post A Question about the Sindarin Translation of 'I love you'...

I am using Arwen-Undomiel.com for some Elvish translations in a fanfiction I am writing, but I do have a question for anyone who might have an answer;

I found these two Sindarin versions of the phrase 'I love you', but one is labeled 'familiar', while the other is labeled 'reverential'.

I love you
Literal: I love [familiar] you
Gi melin
/gi ˈmɛ.lin/

I love you
Literal: I love [reverential] you
Le melin
/lɛ ˈmɛ.lin/


I was wondering which one might be the version a wife would say to her husband. I am not sure of whether 'familiar' is like 'familial' and only used for family members or if it's just for those one is familiar with, so any help that anyone could offer would be so appreciated! A wife to a husband would use the familiar version; the 'familiar' form always means 'to someone you know well', and the 'reverential' means 'to a stranger, Lord of a household (e.g. Elrond, Galadriel etc.) or because you would rather be overly formal'
