I am trying to translate the phrase "I will greet this day with love in my heart." into Sindarin and am not sure if I have it correct.

I have "Im thel- suila- sen arad na mil mi guren."

Should I be using 'sen' or sin' for 'this?
Should 'na' or 'ah' be used for 'with'?
When do you use 'meleth' vs 'mil'?
and would it be 'guren' or 'gur nin'?

The words in brackets are your choices, full explanations below!

The verb for 'to meet' is either Cova- or Gova- from the phrase Mae G'ovannen! Tolkien changed his mind on how this phrase was made up many times.

The difference between Arad and Aur is:
Arad - A day, a full period of 24 hours
Aur - A day consisting of Calan (daytime) and Fuin (nighttime)

i aur/arad hen = this day
adh = with
veleth = love (meleth, mutates to veleth following adh)
mi = in

'uren = (guren, with mutation) my heart
i 'ûr nîn = my heart (that belongs to me - this is using the possessive suffix, so it's showing ownership more than the above version)

The difference between Meleth and Mîl -
Meleth = Love
Mîl = Love, affection
So if you'd prefer Mîl replace veleth with vîl

In TTT Arwen says "Ae ú-esteliach nad, estelio han, estelio ammen." and it translates to 'If you trust not thing, trust it, trust to us."

So If I wanted to say " If you trust nothing, trust love, trust yourself" would it be " Ae u-esteliach nad, estelio mil, estelio lin naul."

I used 'lin naul' for 'your being' because I couldnt find anything for the word 'yourself'.

The -ch ending to mean 'you' was disproven years ago, but David Salo used it in the films because the dialogue was written for those before the book that disproved it was published. -ch actually means 'we'.

A lot of Sindarin scholars have also moved on from using ae = if to using pe = if. They're both reconstructions but the latter has arguably more merit than the former.

Pe ú-esteliog nad, estelio meleth, estelio ech. = If you do not trust anything, trust love, trust yourself.

Ech = Yourself.

One day I will master translation to prefection alone but for now Im so stuck.

"Im trying to translate the lyrics "They say a hero can save us, but Im not going to stand here and wait". However I cant find Sindarin words for half of this and dont really know good ways to reword it either.

Please help my loves.

[Pedegir/Pedelir] [callon/thalion] men rethatha, ach ú-dharthathon sí = They say a hero will save us, but I will not remain here.

Pedegir = They all say (informal)
Pedelir = They all say (formal)
Callon = Hero
Thalion = Hero, dauntless man (surname of Hurin).
men = us
reth- = to save (reconstructed)
ach = but
dartha- = to remain, stay, wait

The 'and wait' on the end is redundant in Sindarin as you don't say you 'stand' somewhere, you say you 'remain, wait' somewhere.

Im thinking about adding the 'And wait' anyway, I see how its redundant and in sidarin but for the lyrics sake I think I want it.

Would it be 'a dartha' for 'and wait'?

There are two verbs in Sindarin that both mean 'stop, wait, remain', Dar- and Dartha-, so you could have either a dhartho and repeat the verb, or use the other, and have a dharo on the end.

There isn't a single word, you have to say 'father of mother/father' or 'mother of father/mother'.

Adar adar = Father's father
Naneth adar = Father's mother
etc.
