Garfield albums is the closest I’ve come to that (a change in publishers stymied me for a while), Need to check with my favorite bookstore to find out if there have been any new issue – and if there’s been a reprint of one album that I’m still missing.

TNP raises some vegetables for own consumption.

A very W I I I I I D E subject, methinks!

Going back several decades, the sound of church bells ringing. Mostly 1960s, when my parents and I went on vacation to Germany, meaning Cologne, from the foreign parts we then lived in. There are many churches in Cologne, and of course the incomparable cathedral, which has an enormous bell system (and the biggest, deepest bell is awe-inspiring). The ringing of these bells, when one heard the chimes from several churches, made a deep impression on me as a child and youngster perhaps precisely because this was so different from where we lived outside of Germany at the time. Less grandiosely, the sounds of the birds chirping, tweeting, whatever that we can occasionally hear from our balcony.

(P.S. – either of these sounds are, on the other hand, very unwelcome in the for us early morning hours when we would prefer to keep sleeping for the odd hour, thank you very much!)

TNP owns a weekly, monthly, yearly pass for their local public transportation (buses, subways and stuff).

Nope, only occasionally.

TNP has taken long overland bus trips – like with Greyhound in the US, as an alternative to trains or planes.

Unfortunately, I have travelled by Greyhound. Not my favourite mode of travel, I confess.

TNP has recently flown somewhere exotic.

Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands may count as exotic, but as that was in 2011 it probably doesn’t count as recent.

I definitely prefer dark chocolate. But there are many shadings of chocolate, one of the most popular being milk chocolate. I also definitely prefer variants darker than milk chocolate, but even this “dark chocolate” business can be taken to extremes (which often include extremes of cost).

TNP prefers rice to potatoes.

Nope, never had.

TNP has collected neither LPs (that vinyl stuff) nor CDs, having downloaded all of their music stuff from the Internet, say in the MP3 mode, or even bypassed any downloading by links to streaming sites (I'm guessing at things I am totally ignorant of ...)

Yes, at least once.

TNP has done a bicycle tour covering about 125 kilometers (about 78 miles) in one day.

No, the furthest I've ever ridden a bicycle was along the paths of a local park, many years ago. I think it was only a few hundred metres, at most.

TNP regularly uses a bicycle as a mode of transport.

Yes, definitely. In 2007, we had water restrictions regarding days on which we could water our plants, and only with a bucket, and we were to have four-minute showers.

TNP personally cares for some plants at home.

My wife cares for those within our apartment (several - I definitely do not have a "green thumb" ). For the "small tree" (more like a big scraggly bush by now) outside on our balcony, we share duties - watering, very much so during our current drought, and I do a bit more of it.

Among the plants TNP cares for are some edibles, like fruits or vegetables.
