Suburbs of Toronto. I think it'd be cool to live in downtown Toronto

I'm downtown Toronto. And you what? It really is cool. (As long as you don't mind that it never really gets dark, that the neighbourhood bars all let out at 2:00 a.m., that there's no parking for visitors, and that there's a mental institution down the road ...)

I wish! No, I didn't. I do live in a celebrity-magnet neighbourhood and we get a lot of filming here, but Elijah must have been hanging elsewhere or in and out of cabs.

Because it was really cool, Jenn (one of the hosts) got Andy to read a passage from the book, and he used his Gollum voice. I think they also gave away a black shirt that said 'Say no to Wraith's'

I am also Canadaian, eh! I live in Leduc, AB and the only other Tolkien/LOTR movie fans I know are a guy I work with and my best friend who lives in Cold Lake. Despite that I don't think either of them are as obsessed as I am, so I feel rather alone in my world. I am in my thirties ( :blush: ) and it is hard to find other Albertans close to my age who like Tolkien/LOTR stuff enough to go to conventions. I have never heard of a convention west of Toronto in Canada, but it would be great if there was one. Trilogy Tuesday was the closest I came to a 'gathering' of Toklienites. I would love to go to any LOTR/Tolkien convention, but travel is just too costly for such distances (i.e. Toronto and LA). Anyway you know who to find if you hear of one in Western Canada...

Hey there Legebriwen, I know what you mean, there really should be some sort of convention out here in Western Canada. Did you go to Trilogy Tuesday held at Silver City? If you did maybe I saw you there, it was such a great experience, I loved it. Go Alberta! hehe

Oh, this is so neat! I did so go to Silver City for Trillogy Tuesday and I absolutely loved it! I took an entire day off from work as a holiday to go. I showed up at 9:30AM to wait in line for the doors to open and got to my friend's place to spend the night at 2:30AM next day! It was great! :love: Maybe you saw me, I was sort of dressed up. I had on elf ears and braided my blonde hair like Leggy's. I wore black velvet pants and top for comfort. Hey, maybe I saw you!? I will always remember that day as the one time I got to feel like I was not alone with my obsession. I even dragged my co-worker with me to it also! Love my 'gift' from Alliance Atlantis, it is on my fireplace mantle at home.

By the way, was that you who screamed when Shelob got Frodo?

Feel free to PM me, it would be wonderful to get to know other Tolkienites from our area.
