Ingredients

1 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cups canned pumpkin
3/4 cups chocolate chips (any size)
3/4 cups walnuts, chopped (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease bottom of 9"x5" loaf pan.

Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. In separate bowl, cream butter, gradually adding sugar until well mixed.

Blend in the eggs and beat well. With mixer on low speed, add dry ingredients alternately with pumpkin, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.

Stir in the chocolate chips and 1/2 cup nuts, if desired. Turn into prepared pan(s). Sprinkle top with remaining walnuts or chocolate chips.

Bake 65-75 minutes in a full pan; 25-30 minutes for smaller, multiple pans.

Drizzle Buckleberry Spice Glaze on top after the loaves have cooled. Let stand at least 6 hours before slicing.
