He was born in Cuivienen, then traveled to Valinor. He never trusted the Valar and was one of the first to side with Feanor. He became fast friends with Maedhros, who he still calls Russandol, and Maglor, who he calls Makalaure. Angalome’s brothers and sister were killed in Dagor-nuin-Giliath, and he became bitter after that. He was captured by Morgoth, who turned his bitterness into hatred of everyone and everything. He found he fit in best with evil, and so he sided with Morgoth and later Sauron.
