Personality: She is a quiet and studious girl who doesn't hesitate to stand up to her enemyes especially to protect her friends.She is honest but has a fiery spirit and is a very bright girl,one of the reasons for being in Griffindor.
Because her parents died when she was young she has had to learn to fend for herself and coming from a noble family she learned archery from an early age and is skilled in the art of combat.She is very quick tempered and most of the time her actions are pretty instinctual so many are affraid to befriend her.Those who do discover her to be a kind and just sole always ready to lend a hand to those in need.
In her free time she loves to dance and sing and has a very nice voice.She is adicted to reading,drawing and writting storyes and spends most of the time in the common room doing just that which makes others think her wierd.She is very shy though so u'll never see her dance or sing or show here work to others unless she deeply trusts them because she is affraid of being laughed at.
Appearance: Maitreyi has long wavy black hair that she always weares loose exept in school when she braids it loosely.Her eyes are gray and she always weares dresses or skirts under her school robes.She loves bracelets and weares one on her left ankle even in school and tryes to avoid wearing shoes whenever possible.In the mean time she weares shoes made of lithe materials like satin with a low heel.Her clothes are bright and colorful and exotic.Around her neck Maitreyi has a saphire pendant incrusted in a silver frame,the most precious thing she owns because itr was given to her by her mother at birth and has been her good luck charm troughout the years.Secretly she belives it to have hidden magical powers.
History:
Maitreyi was born of an indian mother and scottish father but she was born on the road because her parents traveled a lot.She only found out about them being wizards shortly before they were murdered by Voldermort when she was eight.Her mother had been an indian princess so she had had a small fortune put away for her daughter even before she was born which made it easy for Maitreyi to get on with her life after the death of her parents.Her father who had come from a long line of scottish lords had been disowned for not agreeing with the family views on marridge and had taken up traveling.When he met Chabu during a visit to Calcutta they’d instantly fallen in love.
It’s from her mother that Maitreyi gets the light chocolate color of her skin and her dark ebony hair.Her eyes are her father’s as is her accent and the skill to master a bow for it was he who tought her.
She also gets from him also the deisre to travel and his spirit of adventure but as far hs been unable to furfill her dreams.
After her parents died she was asigned a guardian,a very good friend of the family that the girl instantly disliked and mistrusted as being a thief and a scam.She has as up yet been unable to proove anything.She discovered she could do magic a year or so before she was called to Hogwards whilst falling out of a tree she wished she’d land softly and the next minute she was flooping down on her own bed.
