I must admit I can’t be bothered to register, so I don’t know what the article actually says – but how many of our 20,000 plus members are women…? 70%? 80%?
I registered and read after all… that lady clearly doesn’t quite get it.
Like you I choose not to register. But this woman is clearly no “Rings” fan—NOT TO MENTION THAT SHE”S NUTS!!!!
I think this woman has her head backwards! I am completely obsessed with it and so are many of my friends! I think there was a little mix up when she wrote that…

WHAT! THIS IS INSANE! I AM A WOMAN AND I LOVE LORD OF THE RINGS! SO DO MY FRIENDS AND EVEN MY MOM!!!! AH! THIS MAKES ME MAD! LET ME TALK TO THAT WRITER NOW AND I WILL SHOW HER A THING OR TOO!
Copying and pasting would probably be a copyright infringement. If I find time over the next few days, I’ll post a summary of the article in my Journal.
Still, flaming the author isn’t quite in the spirit of this site. Everyone should be entitled to her opinion.
I relied to the topic in the movies forum…really, this woman should know better than to make sweeping generalizations like that.
I registered, but saw something about ‘buying the article’ and decided that this article was not worth it. I don’t know what she means by “a plot so intricate all I knew for sure was that Gandalf had called for help.” I admit the movie might be difficult to follow for those who haven’t read the books, but i didn’t think it was that difficult!
