Let the buyer beware
This article at Stuff relates how a US man was the victim in what the police believe was part of a film memorabilia forgery scam. He paid more than $40,000 for what he thought was the ‘original’ riding dress worn by Arwen. Ngila Dickson states that the original movie costumes are treasures for Peter and Fran and, “they are going nowhere if he can help it”.

Boy, that is quite a story. Why would anyone think the dress was the Original riding dress worn by Arwen, is beyound me. But really, it makes me mad with these forgery scams out there doing stuff like that for a quick buck. It’s so sad.
