RotK DVD reviewed
Empire Online has a review of the RotK DVD, which is released in a month’s time on 25th May. The film itself received five stars, although it’s commented that the EE DVD will be the superior release, both in terms of the film itself, and the extras.

Horray for RotK! I don’t care what they say about the extras, I still am getting this DVD just for the extras (come the release of the EE, the theatrical version of the film WILL become obsolete. I can’t help it, it’s just the way I am). Role on the release! I have to admit that I saw it on Friday, because I borrowed *cough cough a pirate copy* from a friend, merely because I was so desperate to see it again after such a long time – it will be great to watch the film on one disk that is not purple *though I think that the purple colouring is quite cool*. I hang my head in shame for watching a pirate, but will not denigh that I ENJOYED IT!
I’ve *hopefully* bought it from Amazon, but we shall see, come May the 25th *if that is the release date*. Go RotK!
Lindir, off now to have a curry.
I can’t wait till the DVD comes out on the 5th… we’re renting it…. the extended come out 15 days after i get back from Dominic Republic (in the Carribbean!) So i won’t have to wait that long!
These people are obviously NOT fans!! This has been so long in coming, and I cannot wait! I am so excited for the EE with the extra 2 discs that show behind the scenes and interviews. I really feel like I know these actors after watching the appendices from the first two EE, there was so much insight and to say that this one is going to be for families and not fans is CRAZY!!! I am so glad that they are releasing this one early. I don’t think I could’ve waited till the end of the year for this one.
And I honestly think PJ did an amazing job with all three. He had to do what he had to do with filming. Even if that meant filming some of the RotK in 1999. Honestly does anyone care? I don’t!
This review is not a review in my opinion, it’s a slashing!!
I think they were pretty obvious in saying that the EE will be the superior release. But I am excited beyond belief to get the theatrical in about a month. Then I can watch the whole trilogy! Yay!
I don’t really know why the reviewer was so negitive. Be postive people! LOL! I think I’m going to rent the theatrical version, and buy the EE. I thought the extras on the EE’s are better than the theatricals. They have to be for people to really take interest. EE’s just have more depth, so the reviewer is right on with that.
