The Silmarillion: Bigger Spiders, Bigger Battles, Bigger Egos
If you don’t have a copy of ‘The Silmarillion’ yet, Tolkien’s work about the history of the Elves from the creation of the world up to the Battle of the Last Alliance, now is a good time to ask your parents for an advanced birthday present, become a member of the nearest library or harass your son into lending you his copy, because on October 4th, the Book Club will start reading ‘The Silmarillion’.

This is so great! The Silmarillion is the best book ever, and is essential to a deeper understanding of the Lord of the Rings, and almost all of Tolkien’s books!! Hantanyel!!
How exciting. It’s been so long since I’ve just wandered around on this wonderful site. I was pleased to have wandered in and discovered this opportunity. I’ve been wanting to read the Silmarillion for ‘an age’. Perhaps this will prompt me to do so.
