The making of the LotR DVDs
In this two part exclusive interview at Now Playing Magazine, Kevin Miller, one of the LotR DVD producers, talks about the making of the DVDs. He describes how this has been the most challenging and satisfying project he has worked on. “The sheer volume of source material is staggering… the behind-the-scenes videotape material totals the equivalent of over 14 million feet…1,200 hours of interviews, plus almost 90,000 pieces of artwork and still photographs.”

It must be nice doing something you love. 🙂 I can’t wait to see the fruit of their labour, I’m ever sure it’ll be worth all the blood, sweat, and tears!
I totally agree that “the journey isn’t over” until this instalment comes out. I can’t WAIT ’till December 14th finally arrives. It’ll be great to see all the extended scenes, and the Cast Commentaries, which are always a treat… all of PJ and everyone else’s effort will definately be paid off.
