Rings research
In 2003-2004 Professor Martin Barker, from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, carried out some research to look at reactions to The Return of the King movie. One of the findings was, “the highest levels of enjoyment and importance came from those who saw watching it as going on a spiritual journey”. Interesting results. I would have never thought that before, but now that I think of it, it does make a lot of sense.
