IGN picks Their Top 25 Fantasy Films

IGN Entertainment today posted Their list of the Top 25 Fantasy Films of all Time. All three of Peter Jackson’s Lord of The Rings films made the list and you can go here to see how they finished.

The Hobbit vs Murder on the Orient Express for Canadian Hall of Fame

Harper Collins Canada has been running a contest in which readers can pick a book to enter their hall of fame. They started off with 64 books and now, for the final round, only two books remain. Canadians can Vote here for the winner, and one could end up winning all 64 books.
Sadly, this contest is only open to Canadians

Gandalf gets a new scarf and boots!

In this new entry in his official blog Ian McKellen talks about the screen tests that have been taking place. The 13 dwarves and their small-scale doubles and of course his own screen test. He reveals that costume designer, Ann Maskrey has made a two changes to Gandalf’s costume, a silvery scarf and a new pair of black boots!.

Saoirse Ronan & Stuart Townsend land roles in Middle-Earth

According to an article in Monsters and Critics., Irish actress Saoirse Ronan and Irish “Lord of the Rings” drop out actor Stuart Townsend have been added to the cast of The Hobbit.
Saoirse Ronan, who had previously worked with Peter Jackson in ‘The Lovely Bones’, will be cast as Itaril, a woodland Elf while Stuart Townsend, the actor originally cast as Aragorn in ‘The Lord of the Rings’, but subsequently replaced by Viggo Mortensen, will play Bard the Bowman.
