Benedict Cumberbatch and The Hobbit
In a recent interview at MTV Benedict Cumberbatch describes his recent experience of filming The Hobbit, in which he plays Smaug the dragon and another “nameless” character. “I spent a lot of time recording voice as well as doing movements. So, it was sort of freeing; it was fun. It was like playing a game. It’s going to be an amazing film; it’s going to be a real treat”.

He is my favourite actor, and it was such a delight to hear that he had been cast as Smaug and Sauron as a voice role. The film will be a treat if only for his voice!
