March 25th is Tolkien Reading Day
This Thursday, March 25th, is Tolkien Reading Day, being the date of the Downfall of Sauron and the beginning of the Fourth Age. It is a world-wide reading event for schools to show children and teachers the joys of reading Tolkien, as well as being a day for us all to read some Tolkien! See more at the Tolkien Society events diary; and also see this page about the history of the Reading Day for more information.

This is just silly. Every day is Tolkien Reading Day! But, if you’re only going to read Tolkien once or twice a year, or haven’t read anything by Tolkienand are going to start, it’s great that everyone does it on the same day.
I was actually hoping for a day like this! Happy reading all! 🙂
