Wheredid you get this? I’ve been looking for the Undying Lands map.
Not sure–Hermitt’s the one that found it…
This is fantastic map! Now I understand everything better!
Finally one can see all in one map…really good!!
excellent map
the Sillmarillion just got easier to understand, and believe me you need all the help you can get
I agree with the above comments. A lot of stuff just clicked in my head.
I love it! Wow! It is awsome… I love the sea… I have seen a map of the undying lands before…
can’t think where… but this one is nicer!
seriously! this makes the Sillmarillion so much easier to get! Phew! this map is awesome!
this map is in the book “characters from tolkien” by david day
I read the Silmarillion and i still don’t understand some things….. about Beleriand and stuff
Can’t imagine what trouble tolkien had to go through to finish that!
WOW. I rest my case. Tolkien is a genious.
This’ll make me understand the Silmarillion Better!
*squeaks* OH MY GOD! this is SMASHING! im gonna get a print of this, get it framed and them put it in me room!
I saw this once before and I’ve been trying to find it again ever since.
Most comprehensive map of Arda I’ve ever seen!!!
I’m speechless…. Wow…
where did you find this map?
I found this map in another book by David Day, too. It’s called _Guide to Tolkien’s World: A Bestiary_. Wow!
Thats a great map….So the undying lands is like where the Grey Havens are?
hobbitgirl. The Grey havens are NOT at the Undying Lands. They are at Mithlond.
*GASPS* I saw this map once but lost it and I’ve been searching everywhere for it! YAY!
I believe that’s from A Tolkien Bestiary, by David Day. it’s like a tolkien encyclopedia. it’s amazing..
Cool I admit but you probably have to read the Silmarrillion to understand most of it huh? Man I gotta get it.
Very useful while reading The Silmarillion! Thank you very much!
Finally read The Silmarillion and you guys are right. Everything does just click!
Question: Couldn’t you go to the Undying Lands whenever you wanted over the Grinding Ice?
I don’t mean to sound stupid but WHERE are the Grey Havens?
alana- west of the shire
I didnt know Utummo has that close to a lamp of the valar.
This is so awsome
did Tolkien make this map?? númenor looks so different from the map in the Unfinished Tales….
and beleriand is to far to the north me thinks
I have a question,why is everything distorted 😐
i have this map on my wall
i have the book its from, i dont think tolkein made it
this one is from the Tolkien Bestiarium, very nice.
this map is wonderful! just by looking at it my vision of Middle-earth and Valinor have become a lot clearer!
it’s absolutely breathtaking! wow!
Did a fan draw this or is it authentic?
Wait… I may be missing something, but it looks like on this map that you can just walk to the Undying Lands
from Middle Earth! Am I missing something?
Read “Silmarillion.” It used to be possible, but the Valar destroyed the land bridge
I love it! I always wanted to see a map with the Undying Lands and Middle Earth. This must be great because it
is rated 10. Just amazing!
It is very beautyful!
Thanks for the killer map. It’s great to see one that encompasses all Arda. But it seems to be distorted much
like the early maps of the post-colombian world. Isn’t Lindon west of the Blue Mountains (according to the
index of the Silmarillion) the remains of Ossiriand? Is there a more geograpically correct map available. TY!
very “HERE THERE BE MONSTERS”-esque. amazing detail for such a huge area though. great job.
What a great map! Who made it though?
One problem. Isn’t Numenor supposed to be a five-pointed star?
Aragorn1, there’s so much wrong here that Numenor’s shape is the least of the problems…. decent though.
I imagine Valinor very much smaller 😉
there’s no avralin either… (south of valinor where ungoliant dwells)
It’s very beautifull.I didn’t thought that Valinor is so close and Middle-Earth where ends.
wicked
This is a very beautiful map, though the island Nùmenor is not correctly drawn. It should look like a star.
wow….so thats what the undying lands look like……make a lot more sence now….kewl
Amazing, this is the best map of Arda I’ve ever seen
WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW…!!!
thanx I only had a photocopy of this map where half the center had gone white but now I ‘ve got it entirly
GREAT MAP, but it does look rather unprofessional
like someone drew the outlines of the continents and Numenor too carelessly but put much detail inside
I think it is ok, and that one – using this as a base – can correct the mistakes and get a quite good one.
thanks
Hi, i’m new! Great mal! Where can i get it?
I mean: great map. ..:-)
