Beautiful!
Oh wow, that’s amazing. Really beautiful.
Pretty!
the style… is.. odd, it looks almost islamic, which is one of the prettiest styles, if you ask me
That center circle was used on on Unfinished Tales..on the front of the book (one copy of the book, at least)
*was used on…not on on <_<
no glorfindel, its only sortof Islamic looking. There’s something more-western-if you know what I mean. Pretty
If it were less colorful, it could totally work on the floor of movie-Merethrond, which is great.
Shows that sometimes PJ pays attention to Tolkien’s drawings! I love it! (the tile)
in the movie gondor was so colorless…they came from numenor; shouldn’t there be more colors?
Okay… when I get my Earl’s estate I’ll have at least one room decorated with these babies on the floor!
it would be cool to have some tiles like this made…
I love his use of color and pattern. It’s like our medieval period, but at the same time also its own style.
Well I guess it’s kind of Egyptian. In letter 211 from “The Letters”, Tolkien evokes some Egyptian for Númenor
Erm I meant: Some Egyptian elements for the Númenóreans of Gondor. Very interesting, that was.
pretty. very pretty. wonder how long that took to draw!?
This is on one of the sides of the golden book-set-case I have for my (old) version of LotR.
it would be so cool to have a numenorean house – imagine a HOUSE tiled with these!
Fantastic!I love the colours!
