English: name of the region in northwest of France, French Bretagne. Sindarin: Mithennor, Thinnor; Lannor

Notes: In Breton, the reigion is called Breizh; in ancient times, it was also known as Letavia/Armorica and Llydaw ‘half-silent’. Letavia, taken to be the more plausible meaning, would mean ‘grey place’ or ‘broad place’, hence Mithennor, Thinnor or Lannor. If the less reliable name, Llydaw, is translated, it would be Perdhinen.
