Arandor was known as the 'Kingsland' of Númenor and it lay in the central part of the island.

To the east were the ship-havens of Rómenna. If one had traveled then along a westward path, they would have reached first the capital of Númenor, Armenelos, and then the great Meneltarma. Arandor was always the most heavily populated region in Númenor.
