Singular: Mumak. Also called Oliphaunts.

Gigantic elephant-like beasts from Harad. They were described as having tree-like legs, sail-like ears, long serpentine trunks, red eyes and horn-like upturned tusks. They shook the ground when they walked, and their triple thick hides were so tough that arrows didn't penetrate but instead broke or skipped off.

In the War of the Ring, the Haradrim brought Mumakil with them to battle with huge war towers mounted on their backs.
