The Nimrodel flowed from the Misty Mountains into the Silverlode at the border of Lothlórien. It was a cold, shallow stream whose waters were refreshing and healing to tired travelers. Sometimes, when standing on the banks, one could almost hear the song of the maiden Nimrodel.

The Nimrodel once had a bridge, but it was broken down by the time the Fellowship arrived in Lórien.
