When I look around as far as I can see,
I see you there standing next to me.
When all hope is lost and I see the end near
there you are whispering “Do not fear.”
With you by my side we can do the impossible.
When I stood alone above the place I
longed to be at, I sacrificed our friendship, and
could not finish my task.
Even though I hurt you in so many ways a friend
should not have, you just smiled and took my hand.
When the day came that I should pass over the
sea, I looked at you, tears rolled off your sweet brown face.
We embraced each other, for which you thought
would be our last time.
I looked ahead at what would take me to a place that I knew nothing about.
I glanced at my friends one last time, their
faces were puzzled. I understood what they were
feeling. But I knew one thing, we would soon see
each other again
