Legolas inspected his hair one last time before he left to flirt with the elfmaidens. This was something he did every afternoon at 2:00. This was when most elfmaidens would stroll a bit to get some fresh air. Once his hair was sleek and silky, he left to make some lucky ladies swoon.
When Legolas went outside, he saw Urebriviel and Péniel talking with each other while walking, which is what they did every afternoon at 2:00. They had been best friends for hundreds of years and they had been Legolas’ two favorite elfmaidens to flirt with.
He quietly crept behind them, making sure to remain quiet. Then he said, “Why, hello there. Taking a bit of an afternoon stroll, I see.”
They whirled around and giggled. “Hello, Prince Legolas,” Urebriviel said with a smile upon her face. “What brings you here?”
He smiled. “You do, my lovely ladies.” He put his arms around them and he could sense their faces burning. Péniel wasn’t shy with Legolas, unlike her friend. “Aren’t you a little flirt, Legolas!”
Urebriviel shoot her friend a look. “Péniel, you must address the prince properly!”
Legolas brought them closer to him. “Don’t be silly! I consider myself a friend to you two,” he said. Then he whispered “Maybe more than a friend.”
Urebriviel and Péniel both began to scream girlishly. It hurt Legolas’ ears, but he didn’t mind. As long as he got them worked up, he was content.
He removed his arms from the girls’ shoulders. “Now run along you two. Your Ada will be worrying.” As they ran off to tell the other elfmaidens, Péniel waved good-bye to Legolas. He waved back and she screamed once again.
He rolled his neck. “Another mission completed by Legolas, Bachelor of Mirkwood.” He laughed to himself. “I like that. Legolas, Bachelor of Mirkwood.” As he walked home, he said that to himself many times. But what he didn’t know was that a new bachelor was coming, one that might threaten his reputation.

Ok, I know this is short, but it’s just the beginning. So hold tight, it’ll get better!
