Bon voyage

The sun sets over a lonely sea
The long weary age is over
The night that’s full of mystery
Falls on the mortal shore.

The moon peaks and the night winds sigh
Over the seas and the undying lands
The curling wavelets lap and die
Upon the sand strewn sand.

A grey ship sails its lonely way
Across the pale shimmering seas
With dusk’s last rays
To keep her company.

So bon voyage to cirdan’s ship
Farewell to ancient friends
Farewell and dance through day and dark
And to the westward speed.

And may no tempests wildly blow
Or wind rage and rain
To bar the seas where you do go
Till you sail home again.
