The warm night covered the Shire like a warm blanket made of dark silk with diamonds encrusted in it. All of Hobbiton was sleeping peacefully, all except for two hobbits.

Sam was in the kitchen of Bag End. He was preparing a picnic for someone special and he wanted it to be perfect. He spent all day slaving in the kitchen. He wanted his love to have the best candy he could make…..some sweets for his sweet.

Rosie was waiting patiently in the pub. She had shooed everyone out and tidied up the place swiftly. She didn’t want dear Sam to see her consumed by the mess the men would leave. She made her way to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. Her hair needed a little fixing, but that was all. “Oh whoa oh,” she sang as she put up her hair again.

Sam put everything in the basket. “I am your Candyman!” he shouted. He was too excited and could not contain his energy.

“Oh whoa oh oh,” Rosie repeated as she stared into the mirror, she looked better with her hair down and her curls bouncing around her face. She was a totally different person.

Sam left the house and started to trot to the party tree where he was supposed to meet Rosie. “Coming from Bounty land,” he sang. This song filled his giant hobbit heart.

“Oh whoa oh oh,” Rosie sighed as she sat by the tree. She could see Sam coming. He looked almost celestial as the stars seemed to frame his figure.

“I am the Candyman!” Sam said as he got closer to Rosie.

“Oh whoa oh oh,” She whispered as Sam revealed his surprise for her.

“Coming from Bounty land!” He shouted.

Rosie grasped her chest and could feel her heart pounding beneath it. Sam surprised her. She didn’t think that he could be so…..forceful. She liked it. “I wish that you were my Lollipop! Sweet things, I will never get enough.” Rosie leaned in to Sam as a signal for him to kiss her, but he chose to ignore it. “If you show me to the sugar tree, will you give me a soda pop for free?” she asked coyly. She had wanted this moment forever and it would be hers.

Sam looked Rosie in the eye, sizing her up. He really didn’t know if he wanted, nor needed her as much as she needed and wanted him. He decided to play at this game instead. “Come with me Honey, I’m your sweet sugar Candyman.” He told Rosie softly. “Run like the wind, fly with me to Bounty land. Bite me, I’m yours, if you’re hungry please understand. This is the end of the sweet sugar Candyman!”

Rosie could hear the power in his voice. She longed to be controlled by that power… she needed Sam to control her…he was her desire. “Oh my love, I know you are my Candyman! And oh my love, your word is my command!” She said earnestly. She needed Sam to know that this was the truth. “Oh my love – I know you are my Candyman! And oh my love – let us fly to Bounty land!” She would follow Sam the ends of Middle Earth if that was what it took to prove her love for him.

Sam tossed her some toffee that he made. He wanted Rosie to feel loved. This might be the last time he ever sees her.

“You are my Lollipop! Sugar, sugar top! You are my lollipop! Sugar, sugar top!” Rosie sang sweetly. She was ready to spend her life with Sam, but she had to make sure that Samwise was ready to spend his life time with her. “I wish that I were a bubble gum. Chewing on me, baby, all day long!” She told Sam. She was put her whole world in his hands now. “I will be begging for sweet delight, until you say I’m yours tonight!” She needed Sam to be hers. She knew in her heart that no one could take care of him like she could.

“Come with ne honey, I’m your sweet sugar Candyman. Run like the wind, fly with me to Bounty land.” Sam offered. He knew that Frodo was leaving soon, and he wanted to go with his friend, but could Rosie give up all she had to go with Sam? “Bite me, I’m yours, if you’re hungry please understand, this is the end of the sweet sugar Candyman!” Sam told her.

His passion for her increased as he saw her eyes sparking like the heavens above. He was going to propose to her tonight if he had to.

“Oh my love, I know you are my Candyman! And oh my love your word is my command! Oh my love you know you are my Candyman! And oh my love, let us fly to Bounty land!” Rosie agreed to give up her whole life for Sam. She knew he needed, and wanted to stay with Frodo, just as she knew that Sam needed, and wanted her. Rosie’s life as she knew it would soon be fleeting past her eyes.

Sam looked at Rosie with wonderment in his eyes. He knew that Rosie had just promised herself to him in the lines she had just sang. She was willing to give her life for him, as he was for her.

“Oh my love, I know you are my Candyman. And oh my love, your word is my command.” Rosie repeated. Sam looked dazed and she had to make sure her whole message got through to him. “Oh my love I know you are my Candyman. And oh my love, let us fly to Bounty land.”

“I am the Candyman!” Sam agreed with his new nickname from Rosie. He was so ecstatic that he could look after Mr.Frodo and Rosie at the same time. “Coming from Bounty land. I am the Candyman! Coming from Bounty land!” Samwise identified the name of his new home he was to make with the woman he loved beside him.

“Oh my love, I know you are my Candyman! And Oh my love, your word is my command!” Rosie jumped up. It was getting late and she needed to go home for rest and to pack. “Oh my love, I know you are my Candyman! And oh my love let us fly to Bounty land!” She dragged Sam to his feet so he would know that they had to separate for the night. Although they would never have to separate again.

Sam took Rosie’s hand and started back to the path. He would walk her home just like a gentleman would.

“You are my lollipop. Sugar, sugar top.” She whispered into Sam’s ear. They continued walking in silence. Soon they arrived at the door to Rosie’s house. “You are my lollipop. Sugar, sugar top.” She said one last time and kissed Sam on the forehead. She open the door to her house and slid inside, not before giving Sam her celestial smile. She shut the door and dashed upstairs.

Sam stood at the door for a second reflecting on all that had happened. He was quite satisfied with himself. He turned around and started to walk back to Bag End. He didn’t even notice Rosie watching him until he was out of sight.
