I pushed the elves out of the way,
And knew the reason for your delay.
I quickly carried you inside,
Noticing that you had cried.

Your skin was deathly pale,
and your body so very frail.
Seeing you pathetically faint,
I found the poison taint.

You gave me a frightful scare,
When I realized you didn’t care.
“Blessed is your life.
Don’t give in to mortal strife.”

What happened to make you sick?
Everything happened too quick.
Your brothers and I are by your side.
At our hearts you will reside.

So close you are to my heart.
Our love will never part.
But I still need you here with me,
Before I leave for eternity.

In your dreams you cried out in fear.
In an instant I was near-
to rid you of your frights-
And help you with your fights.

Keep fighting, for it isn’t your turn.
There is so much more to learn.
Just take my hand and hold it tight.
Everything is gonna’ be alright.

Please don’t leave to Mandos’ world.
In my arms, stay curled.
Lay your head upon my chest
I will help you to past this test.

In the night I call out your name.
I Bow my head in shame.
Why haven’t you healed?
Is your fate really sealed?

I forced my legs to your room,
Where all had turned to gloom.
I looked and saw no life,
and felt pierced by a knife.

I stood in terror at the sight-
of my son who’d lost the fight
You looked peaceful and calm
As I sang and stroked your palm.

Crying, I felt your chest rise and fall
as if you heard my desperate call.
We looked into each other’s eyes-
And felt the bond from family ties.

I saw a tear fall from your cheek.
And I felt my eyes begin to leak.
For many hours we were there
crying together as a pair.

I am very glad you’re healed, my son.
I am so very glad that you won.
I dread the day that we lose our Hope,
But until then, we will cope.

A/N Did anyone cry? Tell me what you think, this is my first piece of LotR poetry that I am not scared to post. Well actually I am but still… Elrond and Aragorn are not mine. The theory that Elrond and Aragorn were very close I guess is from the mellon chronicles by Cassia and Siobhan(did I spell those right?) Gracias, mis amigos!
