Farewell to the Elves by TinuvieltheFair
Meleth nin, meleth nin. Nae, navaer, meleth nin.
Sail past the seas to a land I’ve never seen.
Far beyond the wilderness of this land of fading green.
Meleth nin, meleth nin. Nae, navaer, meleth nin.

Tiro, hir nin, na felais na palan.
You and your kin are here, then you’re gone
To seek other worlds before Man’s rising dawn.
Tiro, hir nin, na felais na palan.

i luv this. the way you mixed elvish and english is beautiful, and the message that it gets across is great. please write more!
This is so pretty… you are really good. Will you review mine? “The thoughts of Legolas” and “Just a Little Hope”
I think this poem captures the melancholy of Third Age in a very economical way. Would the meter work better with “Your kin and yourself” than “You and your kin”? I can’t decide.

Thanks, people! When I posted this, I had no idea that anyone would like it because it’s my first chance to “publish” anything and I don’t write poetry much. Ummmm…to Radagastbrown: you may be right about the meter. I’ll have to try that. Greetings from MO!
