Fight for Light by irishoutcast13350
This is my poem, but it is based on Tolkien’s world, I own nothing of Tolkien’s whatsoever although I wish
I did. If I could get a couple of reviews I’d be happy.
~
Why do we bother
To fight for the light?
To see it again
To do what is right?
If hope gives us freedom
Then why despair
And reach for something
We know is not there
To kill all evil
To possibly die
In our fight for the light
In the middle of night
Our paths are unseen
Or so that is said
But to give up all rights
We’re better off dead!
We draw out our weapons
And battle our foes
For when it will end
Nobody knows
Is today the dawning
For all that is right?
Will we be able
To fight for the light?

I like it. It really shows how a worrior would feel in the fight of good and evil. The battle within themselves before the acctual fight. Really good.
