If anything in this story has been used before, I’m sorry. I didn’t know that it was used before.
This is my first serious attempt at fan fiction so bear with me.

Legolas Greenleaf was riding to his home in Mirkwood with his friend, Aragorn. As the pair rode on in silence, they had no idea of the danger they would soon encounter…

“Aragorn, what was that noise?” said Legolas with alarm, as a high ear piercing sound, not unlike a Ringwraith’s scream, just spilt the air. “I don’t know”, replied Aragorn with fear in his voice, “But it can’t be good” The pair sped up, and had the forest in their sights when they heard the noise again. Faster and faster they went, but just as they were just about to enter the forest, the noise was heard again, closer then before, too close, right behind them in fact.. Aragorn yelled, Legolas tried to run from the scene, but when Aragorn cried out in pain, Legolas was caught off guard, and he met the same fate as his friend…it all went black and the friends were carried off.

Legolas woke up some time later. “Aragorn” he croaked. He was very weak and the mere effort of speaking exhausted him. Aragorn did not reply, Legolas immediately knew there was something wrong. He tried to move, but couldn’t as he was chained to the wall. He tried desperately to break free, but failed. He kept trying for what seemed like an eternity, although he had no idea how long it was. The door of the chamber they were being kept in opened, and what walked in scared the elf so much, he thought he would die on the spot out of fear.

A tall creature, maybe 6 or 7 foot, with a crushed face, large eyes, chunky arms and legs that was wearing heavy body armour strode in with what appeared to be a smile on it’s face and several orcs darkened the doorway.

“Who are you” Legolas asked. He had been about to say “What are you?” since he had no idea what type of creature stood before him, but decided not to get himself into anymore trouble. “Answer me” The scared elf said with a more confident voice, but his voice just showed how good of an actor he was. “I am Golimath” The thing said, in a voice that could have easily killed our pointy-eared friend. “I command the orcs that roam this area, we have been watching you and the ranger for quite some time.” He paused. “You have trespassed on my land!” He boomed. “Now, you shall be punished, just like your friend”

Legolas’ eyes whipped round to look at Aragorn. For the first time, he noticed bruising around his face, and a stream of blood coming from his nose and mouth. “What have you done to him?!” Legolas screamed, the fear in his voice broke through for the first time. “We have given him what he deserved” Legolas was more scared than ever. “Take him” Golimath ordered, and without hesitation, the orcs marched forward and grabbed Legolas by the arms, legs and torso. Legolas screamed blue murder, but his only achievement was a sore throat.

When Legolas was returned to the chamber, after several hours of mental and physical torture, he was left unchained. He scrambled over to Aragorn as fast as his beaten body would allow. He felt for a pulse, he found a weak one, but a pulse all the same. Legolas tried to get Aragorn to wake up but his attempts were in vain.
After a few hours he tried again for a pulse, but couldn’t find one. The elf was devastated. The orcs had obviously gone easy one him, and beaten the man for a lot longer, and harder, than the elf. Legolas slumped against a wall, and stared at Aragorn. Once again, he heard footsteps. He looked up to find two orcs standing there in the doorway. “You killed him, you’re going to DIE” and with that, the elf launched himself at the orcs. After a pretty good fight, considering it was two against one and it was an unarmed elf against two heavily armed orcs, Legolas felt a blade penetrate his stomach. Blood spurted from his mouth, and all went black. He was dead.

Back in Mirkwood, Legolas’ father was getting worried, his son should have arrived by now. He sent out a search, but after two weeks of nothing, they had to give up. No one ever did find out what happened to the prince of Mirkwood and the heir to Gondor’s throne….

The End
