Note: I did not write the first stanza of this poem nor do I in any way claim that I have. I merely liked it and decided to continue where Sam left off, and somehow wound up with the only decent bit of poetry I have ever written.

The finest rockets ever seen:
They burst in stars of blue and green,
Or after thunder silver showers
Came falling like a rain of flowers.

Great torrents of red, fiery sparks
Were great delight for many hearts.
Lightning strike and dragon’s roar,
And also soft white birds did soar.

But ne’er again shall they be seen:
The wondrous stars of blue and green.
And woe to those who did not hear
The fireworks of Mithrandir.
