Two hobbits in a sorrowful time
In times past always joyful and merry
Now serious, afraid
Yet hopeful.

Hopeful for the fall of Sauron
And triumph of West over East
And the lasting of the Shire on Middle-Earth.

Not knowing their importance.
Not knowing the way they’ll shine.
