I Aear Cân Ven Na Mar by MEW8012
This poem is about the many Elves who feel an ancient longing for the sea and how it calls them into the West.
– The Call of the Sea –
She whispers to me…
Called forward with the sound of her waves
crashing upon the hither shore.
The sweet caress of a salty mist flowing softly
across my face.
Crying gulls soaring high above the endless blue
that calls me home.
My heart to rest under leaf and bough no more.
Oh, to be by the sea…
~Saerith Eruwestiel

Wow…. beautiful….. what a great description of Legolas’ yearning! Great stuff — keep it up!!!
Hi there ! this is really lovely, it captures very well what Legolas must have been feeling. Well done !!The elves leaving Midle-earth is always a great source of inspiration I have a poem with a very similar title about a similar subject, if you read it I’d love to know what you think.
Nice poem. I like the feel of it. Longing for the Sea. Way to go.
