Immortal hope, immortal lands
Unmarred and purest light
Bright is the jewel on her fair hand
O she, the Lady-White

Of Eldamar I sing to thee
Unchanged by mortal time
So far across the Western sea
And told in mortal rhyme

Forgotten are her words of wise
O she who loves the stars
So dark are now the eastern skies
To bear the ages’ scars

But hope still stays the hearts of they
Who do not die or fade
And ever in this land they stay
Until this land unmade

Now calling from the Elvenhome
Brings her fears to see
She fears the wild waves and foam
She fears to cross the sea

For long ago an oath was sworn
That tainted many hands
A bloody feud to war was born
Astray from Elven lands

And she of passion’s loyalty
Did swear the oath of sorrow
She of Noldor royalty
Was banned from bright tomorrow

Now queen of wooded singing gold
And meadow’s silver sheen
Where wisdom’s secret speech is told
Unfading, ever-green

From crystal starry fountain flows
And kindles eyes alight
Arranged in gleaming starry rows
And banishes the night

From beads of silver sparkling dew
On crystal midnight flower
In shades and hues of shining blue
Behold, the midnight hour

To chance upon the Lady’s grove
To see the mirrored spring
From far and wide the heroes strove
Of them, these visions bring

But years in mortal lands run fast
As leaves in autumn days
She counted sadly years that passed
Until they parted ways

And then the twilight time would end
And mortal’s time to tread
A time for elven hearts to mend
A time to move ahead

A final route on ships of grey
Carved like feathered swan
And thinking of that fateful day
Of war on Alqualonde

Of ships she sees now in her dream
A journey and a plight
She sees the starry crystal gleam
Of peak of Everwhite

Beyond the sheet of darkened cloud
No more for her to roam
The light goes through the darkened shroud
Alas, the Elvenhome.
