“Legolas get back here!” Aredail shouted chasing after a young hyper Prince Legolas. “NO!” His voice rang. Legolas ran around the house at top speed with Aredail right behind him. Legolas sped out the door and under a lifted root getting dirt all over him. Aredail didn’t see the root and tripped over it. Aredail thwacked his head on the ground and Legolas ran off into the woods. “Legolas!” Aredail shouted and ran after him. Being a babysitter for Legolas was tiring. Aredail went to the clearing where he normally found Legolas. Legolas had doubled back, got his little bow and was hiding in a tree. Not really knowing how to shout Legolas did what he saw the elder Elves do. He cocked his bow and took aim. He let the bowstring go. Aredail yelped with pain as he pulled the arrow out of his butt. “Legolas get down here now!” Legolas obeyed. When Aredail went to heal himself quickly Legolas went nuts. Aredail caught him and went to bathe the young prince. Aredail looked like he had a bath instead of Legolas.
Lady Galadriel was visiting Mirkwood. Aredail, desperate to put the child to sleep ran to her room. He knocked on her door. “Yes Aredail?” She asked as she opened the door. “How do you put this evil demand spawn of King Thraduil’s to sleep?” He asked gesturing to Legolas, whom he was holding under one arm. “Give him here.” Aredail obeyed her quickly. Lady Galadriel cradled Legolas and began to sing a lullaby. “Rock a by baby on the tree top. When the wind blows the cradle will rock. When the bow breaks the cradle will fall. And down will come baby cradle and all.” Aredail stared in utter disbelief. He took the sleeping ‘evil demand spawn of King Thraduil’s’ and put him to bed.
