He was tall and Noble, and fair in face
and in our hearts he’ll always have a place.
He sailed away, into the west.
But only after he finished the quest.
He fought valiantly in the War,
And was quite learned in lore.
Though elf he was, he was treated no differently,
He cried, and swore, ‘That fate is not a decree!’
Our hearts went with him that fateful day,
When he went into the battle with nothing more than a hopeful way.
We grumbled as the heros tumbled,
But this elf didn’t stumble.
He was our friend, and companion,
Yet his name echo’s through the canyon.
‘Legolas! Your eyes are sharp and your arrows swift, Are you not there?’
Our leader is lost,
and the price is too high a cost.
Legolas Greenleaf,
Tall and Noble, and fair in face,
and in our hearts he’ll always have a place.
