I travel along
The road to the Havens
Weeping in sorrow
For leaving my love

Deserting when I was needed most
I know what is right
And I must do this
I turn back for one last time

And see my love
For one last time
A child runs to him
And is caught up in his arms

The child I see is my own
In an instant my mind
Is altered entirely
I turn away and leave the road

I return to my love

I shall taste death
But I will also
Give life
Worth more in itself than anything else

The bitterness of death
And the sweetness of life.
